Description
It’s not often that a current flagship amplifier turns up barely used, but this Cyrus Power-XR in Phantom Black is exactly that. It has had very limited use and comes complete with all its original boxes, packing, paperwork and accessories, just as it left the factory in Huntingdon.
The Power-XR is one of the best-performing stereo power amp Cyrus currently make. It’s a class AB design that’s quick on its feet, with an extremely low noise floor and the sort of grip that lets it follow complex music without ever sounding strained. Refined yet detailed, musical and involving, it has that magic involvement factor that keeps you reaching for one more album. It drives awkward speakers with ease, and there’s a dedicated upgrade port for the optional PSU-XR external supply, so there’s still somewhere to go later on.
Your chance to own current Cyrus flagship amplification, barely run in, for sensible money.

What the reviewers say: Reviewers and Cyrus agree that the Power-XR is exceptionally fast, with a very low noise floor that lets it track complex musical transients accurately. The presentation is faithful and refined, very much the Cyrus signature, with effortless speaker drive and a transparent soundstage. Adding the PSU-XR off-board supply brings deeper bass weight, better control through wide dynamic swings and more clarity overall.
